In 2015, EMPRESS organized a Round Table on the Circular Economy for the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic as a part of thematic round tables within the National Convention on the EU. The round table was attended by approximately one hundred students from the state administration, business, interest / professional associations and NGOs, and experts from the Czech Republic and abroad (Denmark, Great Britain).

The round table discussion focused on the creation of conditions for the transition of the Czech economy to the circular economy, the setting of targets and instruments in the area of ​​waste management contributing to the efficient use of resources and the desirable form of European legislation in the circular economy, including the Czech Republic's priorities.

In addition to the round table, the project also included the preparation of a background document on circular economy and the formulation of recommendations for its development in the Czech Republic.
